Z-BOX Keypad available now!
We are introducing a new method for picking up packets from Z-BOXes using keypads. This will be especially beneficial for recipients who do not use the Packeta mobile application, but it will also enhance the experience for all customers. While not all Z-BOXes are equipped with keypads at the moment, we expect to have this feature available on all units by the end of the year.
- Pick-up process using a keypad:
- We send the pick-up code to the recipient via email, mobile app, or SMS.
- The recipient enters the code on the keypad, located on one of the slot.
- Confirm by pressing the green "Enter" button. And it's done!
Release date:
- System solution – 11. July 2024
- Hardware solution – continuously; we aim to cover all the network by end of 2024
Identifying such a box in the system
We have introduced a new parameter, hasKeypad
, in the latest Z-BOX feed (version 5). This parameter is optional, and it is up to you whether to utilize it; however, we recommend doing so for an improved customer experience. An example of the feed can be found in our documentation.
No changes are required to your current integration
This feature has been introduced as an enhancement to the existing Z-BOX network. All the work has been completed internally by Packeta, without requiring any changes or dependencies from our clients. If your implementation uses a feed, though not mandatory, we recommend incorporating this information to ensure your customers are always informed about how to use each specific Z-BOX.
We are making a strong effort to equip our Z-BOX network with keypads as quickly as possible. Once this upgrade is complete, the current information will no longer be applicable, as all new Z-BOXes will come equipped with keypads.
